Private personal assistants for people with disabilities
Individual Private Care
IWA At Home provides private personal assistants or home help for people with disabilities that’s designed to meet individual needs. Our private personal assistant and home help services will enable you to do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Regardless of your disability or goals, IWA At Home can assist you.
If you have a condition that necessitates support at work, college or at home, we can help. Whether you need help with your grocery shopping, assistance at mealtimes, recovery support, or are new to navigating wheelchair-accessible environments, we will tailor a service specially for you. We can also provide personal care from morning to night or just at certain times.
How does the personal assistant service work?
- We will arrange a meeting between you and your personal assistant to introduce you and begin training them to fulfil your specific requirements.
- If you are satisfied with the personal assistant, we will continue to work with you to ensure your ongoing satisfaction.
- Your personal assistant partners with you and will be assigned to you permanently to allow their knowledge of your needs — and your professional relationship — to build over time.
- Our co-ordinator will collaborate with you to train your personal assistant to meet your requirements.
- Our co-ordinator will have one-to-one support meetings with you to ensure your changing needs are met.
- We will follow up with you for feedback on our service to ensure that it continues to meet your needs over a long period of time.
Our personal assistants work with IWA at Home for an average of 9 years. You will benefit from consistency, experienced staff and a very high quality service.
This could range from cooking, personal hygiene or driving to meetings to travelling with service users abroad. Due to the nature of this job it is seldom boring, especially when one works for more than one service user/leader.
IWA at Home actively works with clients in order to improve, learn and put into practise suggestions that clients have, in order to assist them in living a life in an independent and self-determining manner as much as possible."
